Washington State Department of Corrections:
WA State DOC had a new software program, called OMNI, designed and developed to help with the management of offenders within their system. It was a fairly complex and comprehensive program and incorporated tasks performed by many different job types, including over 6,000 employees state-wide. How were they going to affordably train these employees, many of them in remote locations, on a customized project in a short period of time? After comparing several vendors, they chose Delta Business Training.
We built a detailed training program that covered every aspect of their new software and was focused on learning objectives written to support each job task of every employee that would need to use the program. A custom video of the DOC Director was inserted into the training to welcome the learners. Modifications were being made to the actual software as the training as being built - and were immediately reflected into course content. Animated graphics of each OMNI screen formed the basis of the course delivery.
When DOC deployed the training during the summer of 2008, they carefully measured the response of each learner. 94% of the 6,000 students reported the training would help them do their work more effectively. 94%! That is an incredible result and led to WA State referring us to Idaho and California DOC's.
"We have also received positive feedback from the user/learner with a high percentage confirming they believe the E-Learning course will prepare them to use the applications when we go live in a few weeks. So - many thanks to you and your staff for producing a well-received training product for our agency."

Spokane County Risk Management:
Spokane County was required by the state to train their employees on Hearing Loss Prevention. With over 600 employees spread out over a wide geographic region and working a variety of time shifts - and with a small training budget, the county was struggling to meet this state requirement.
Then they enlisted the support of Delta Business Training. The results were excellent - not only was compliance with the state requirement achieved, but it was proven 2 ways: 1) The Loss Control Specialist was able to run reports demonstration course completion dates and exam scores, and 2) personal interviews with course-takers showed an increased knowledge of hearing loss protection terms and concepts.
The County was so pleased, they ordered a Commercial Driver's License course and then a General Employee Safety course!
"We have finally been able to deliver Hearing Loss Prevention training to our employees spread out throughout the region and working a variety of work hours. The convenience and quality of Delta's online training has significantly improved our workforce knowledge - and reduced the risk of hearing impairment."

Eagle Shield, Inc, A Franchise Company:
Eagle Shield has a unique product, actually designed and endorsed by NASA, that provides reflective barrier insulation in homes and reduces home energy costs by about 30%. The company has a powerful and timely story to tell considering the rising cost of energy and the national attention being placed on "green" solutions. It became obvious to senior management that the franchise model made sense to achieve nationwide deployment objectives.
As it positioned itself to become a franchise organization, Eagle Shield enlisted Delta Business Training to build its online "Eagle Shield University". This comprehensive program covers every aspect of launching a new franchise, including training courses on Sales, Prospecting, Products, Installation, Finance and Operations. Built upon Best Practices of the existing organization, the affordable and effective online solution served two purposes: 1) It significantly enhanced the corporation's ability to raise capital, and 2) made the investment selection of potential franchisees much more palatable - they were being handed a proven blueprint for success. The risk of failure was virtually removed.
